As part of our 'Rusty range of creative garden art, our products are intended to be allowed to rust and get better with age giving you a wonderful silhouette against the skyline or amongst your garden foliage. When your 'Rusty' garden art is new, it will be in it's natural state of steel (silver coloured). All you need to do is place it where you want it to be outdoors and watch it change, helped by the great British weather.
Occasionally, our designs are improved with minor modifications that are not always shown on photos.
Garden Bird Fence Post Cap Topper
This product is intended to be left untreated to allow it to turn rusty. When this product is supplied to you, the colour will be a silvery grey steel colour, which is the materials natural colour before oxidisation takes place. There may be occasional blemishs to the surface where the rusting process may have already started.
If you would prefer a painted finish - you can do this DIY - any good quality metal primer and paint will be suitable as long as you follow the instructions and ensure that you completely de-grease the product before commencing any painting.
