Our hedgehog stakes just push into the ground or a flower pot(make sure the soil is soft first) or you can cut a suitable hole in a fence or wall and affix the Hedgehog Garden Gateway to make a fun and attractive hedgehog passing-through gap which is vital for the hedgehogs survival.

As part of our 'Rusty range of creative garden art, our products are intended to be allowed to rust and get better with age giving you a wonderful silhouette against the skyline or amongst your garden foliage. When your 'Rusty' garden art is new, it will be in it's natural state of steel (silver coloured). All you need to do is place it where you want it to be outdoors and watch it change, helped by the great British weather.
It is intended to be left untreated to allow it to turn rusty. When this product is supplied to you, the colour will usually be a silvery grey steel colour, which is the materials natural colour before oxidisation takes place. There may be occasional blemishs to the surface where the rusting process may have already started.
If you would prefer a painted finish - you can do this DIY - any good quality metal primer and paint will be suitable as long as you follow the instructions and ensure that you completely de-grease the product before commencing any painting.
