Like our small table top tree, it comes in two parts that slot together to give you a standing tree.
Made of 2mm mild steel, this tree is intended to rust to give you a beautiful orange red patina, which is achieved by exposing the steel to the great British weather overtime.
When your tree is supplied to you, it will be in it's new steel silver colour and all you need to do is put it outside for it to start changing colour. For a good full rust it will need about a year, but you will almost immediately get a pale golden sheen on it once it goes outside.
If you don't like the rust finish, you could DIY a metal paint finish - just follow the instructions.
Alternatively we can produce this product in Galvanised Steel which will stay reasonably rust free for years as it has a resistant coating on it (similar to farm gates) - please enquire.
XL Christmas Tree - Rusty Range
All large decorative garden stakes are made of mild steel and are intended to be left untreated to allow it to turn rusty. When this product is supplied to you, the colour will usually be a silvery grey steel colour, which is the materials natural colour before oxidisation takes place. There may be occasional blemishs to the surface where the rusting process may have already started.
You can opt for a Galvanised finish - which is rust resistant.
